WILL POWER is our Team concept! This page is dedicated to those who have helped or are helping us achieve our goal of funding a cure for Myotubular Myopathy (MTM). WILL POWER answers the question, “How can I help?” Below you will find the WILL POWER TEAM. These members have supported Where There’s a Will There’s a Cure through grassroots fundraising, donations of skill sets, and volunteer work. We are so grateful and touched by all those that have gone above and beyond to support Where There’s a Will There’s a Cure.

To join the WILL POWER TEAM, all you have to do is volunteer time and effort to Where There’s a Will There’s a Cure! All fundraising efforts, no matter the size, are so greatly needed to help find a cure. This can be anything you can imagine: raising money by hosting your very own party, organizing a walk/run, securing corporate contributions or even fundraising sales…you name it! The unifying concept is to help Where There’s a Will There’s a Cure fund medical research for cures and/or treatments for those affected with Myotubular Myopathy.

The founding member of WILL POWER is Suzy DeVries. This entire website, including all logos and corporate designs, are the work of Mrs. DeVries. The donation of creating everything that you see on this website is an unbelievable gift that continues to provide a forum for our team and community. We highly recommend her and her business services.

Thomas Kantas took the initiative to host the first fundraiser. He quickly sought assistance from Board Member Mark Hudspeth and Ken Henricks. Together they worked hard to create an event to launch our group effort. The Chicago Area Kickoff Fundraiser that they hosted was a HUGE success! Check the pictures from the successful night!
Board Member James Overholt hosted a fundraising event at his home in St. Louis on December 1, 2012. His small get together turned out to raise significant funds for our organization! Thank you to James for being the first to hold a private party in honor of Where There's A Will There's A Cure.

Dan and Alison McNamara hosted an exciting fundraiser this spring! The Will Power in Will County Fundraiser was held at Nevin's Brewing Company in Plainfield, IL on Saturday April 27, 2013. The fundraiser was a huge success, raising over $8000! Click here to see pictures from the event.
Lisa Rothley Delaney
Lisa Rothley Delaney presented fellow Chi Omegas with a fundraising challenge in October 2012. She very generously offered to match donations given by her Chi Omega sisters up to $2500. To date, Chi Omegas and Lisa have donated nearly $3800! Thank you to all of the Chi Omegas that have so generously donated to our cause!
Colleen was the Executive Director of Fundraising for Where There's A Cure. She created and spearheaded our Rare Disease Day Campaign Blue for the Cure and Will Cure Bash at the Ball Park. She has spent countless hours working on behalf of our foundation.
Meredith hosted an in home fundraiser on January 20, 2013. Her small get together raised significant funds to help support medical research! Where There's A Will There's A Cure is thankful for her interest and involvement in fundraising and raising awareness for muscle diseases.

Steve and Diana Rogus hosted an in home fundraiser on March 23, 2013 to support Where There's A Will There's A Cure. They raised $950.00 through the kind donations of their friends and family.

Abby, Kari, Lesia, Candi and Shearrisa have played an intricate role as part of the Will Power Team. They a have been involved in planning and organizing many of our fundraisers. This group of dedicated women have also secured many of the raffle and silent items at our events. Where There's A Will There's A Cure is so thankful for their continued efforts and support.

Jason and Julia Schulz hosted a Kentucky Derby Party that was sponsored by The J Rich Company. On May 4, 2013 the Schulz Family invited their friends and neighbors to North Side Bar & Grill for a Kentucky Derby watching party. A portion of the food and beverage was donated to Where There's A Will There's A Cure.

The Vieth Family has supported the organization through significant time and monetary donations. We appreciate everything they have done in support of William and MTM research.
Nick and Mavis Cooke
Nick and Mavis Cooke have spent countless hours working on behalf of the foundation. They both served on the Springfield 2013 Drive for the Cure Golf Outing and Labor of Love Event Committee.They brought in sponsors, donations, auction items and worked the entire day of the event. Thanks to their hard work the event was a huge success, raising over $36,000!
