Will-Cure was honored to support an amazing marathon team for the 2017 Bank of America Chicago Marathon! Our team raised $8,162 for medical research for Myotubular Myopathy! Will-Cure was honored to support an amazing marathon team for the 2016 Bank of America Chicago Marathon! Our team raised $12,287 for medical research for Myotubular Myopathy! Fox Valley Marathon 2015
Will-Cure was honor to have an amazing group of women run the Fox Valley Marathon and Half Marathon for Will-Cure! Our team raised $2,286! We thank all of our runners and supporters. Breaders' Cup Fundraiser
The Will-Cure Breeders' Cup Fundraiser hosted by Tim and Denise Vieth was a wonderful success! It was a fun family event with kids activities and race giveaways. The event raised nearly $3,000 for medical research! Will-Cure is extremely grateful for the continued support of the Vieth Family.
Run the Bank of America Chicago Marathon for Will-Cure 2014
Will-Cure was honored to support an amazing marathon team for the 2014 Bank of America Chicago Marathon! Our team raised $5,400 for medical research for Myotubular Myopathy! We thank all of our runners and supporters. Thank you Patrick Whiston and Bryan Calip.
Fox Valley Marathon 2014
Will Power member Sheri Lubniewski ran the 2014 Fox Valley Marathon for Will-Cure! She ran the marathon and set a personal record time! Sheri raised over $1500 for medical research!!
The Inaugural Will-Cure Open
On Saturday, August 6, 2014 we hosted the Inaugural Will-Cure Open at the Mill Creek Golf Club. The day began with a golf scramble and continued into the evening with a fundraising dinner. We were honored to host chief researcher Dr. David Mack from UW Medicine.The event raised nearly $30,000 for continued research to find a cure for MTM. Take a look at the wonderful individuals and corporations that came together to fight against Myotubular Myopathy.
2nd Annual Drive for the Cure
On August 31, 2014 we held our second annual golf out at The Rail Golf Course in Springfield, Illinois. The golf outing was again a tremendous success, thanks to our numerous event sponosors, golf hole sponosors and the many supporters who golfed and attended the dinner. The event raised nearly $30,000 for medical research. A special thank you to JoAnn Overholt and Rachel Overmeyer for all of their hard work in hosting this event.
Team Vieth's St. Paddy's Day Run for Will Cure
On March 15, 2014, Team Vieth ran in Lincoln Park's St. Paddy's Day 8K and 5K run/walk! They chose Will-Cure as their charity and while training for the race raised $2850 by telling their friends and family about our mission to cure MTM. Will Cure is extremely grateful for the continued support of the Vieth Family. Their generosity support has allowed us to help children around the world.
Drive for the Cure
On Septmeber 1, 2013 we held our first golf outing in Springfield, Illinois. The golf outing was a tremendous success. We had numerous event sponsors and golf hole sponsors. Following the golf we held a wonderful dinner that included a silent auction. The event raised over $36,000 for medical research. A special thank you to Brian Whiston, Debbie Whiston, Jim Overholt, JoAnn Overholt, Nick Cooke and Mavis Cooke for all of their work in hosting this event.
Will Cure Bash at the Ball Park
Our Will Cure Bash at the Ball Park took place on Sunday, July 7, 2013 at the Kane County Cougars Outfield Party Deck! We joined our family, friends and supporters for a family fun day of baseball as we watched the Kane County Cougars take on the Quad City Bandits.
The J Rich Company's Kentucky Derby Party
The J Rich Company, including our dear friends Jason and Julia Schulz, held their annual Kentucky Derby Party at North Side Bar & Grill in Glen Ellyn, Illinois. A significant portion of the food and drink proceeds was donated directly to our organization. Thank you to everyone that enjoyed a fun day while also making a difference.
Will Power in Will County
On Saturday, April 27, 2013 Will Power members Dan and Alison McNamara hosted our first fundraiser of 2013.
It was an amazing event that raised over $8,000! Huge thank you Dan and Alison McNamara, event sponsors,
volunteers and all who attended.
Chicago Area Kickoff Party Fundraiser
On Saturday, November 17, 2012 we held our first fundraiser. We brought together a core group of interested people that are dedicated to finding a cure. Dr. Martin Childers attended the event and informed the group of his exciting research. The event raised nearly $15,000.00 and was a fun time for all who attended.
